When it comes to watercolor palettes, there's no better material than porcelain or ceramic palettes.
Ceramic (porcelain) palettes are heavy, durable and usually have multiple wells to squeeze tube colours into, as well as large mixing spaces. Porcelain makes for a wonderful surface to mix on, due to its smooth and glazed finish. The paints stay moist longer, and the colors appear true. The smoothness of ceramic surface is much kinder to the brush fibres, as compared with other plastic surface. And cleanup is a breeze. No stain.
